Pricing & Contact Info

Of course we offer “skip the line” tickets. But you should know that “skip the line” is mostly a marketing gimmick.  All it means it you have a ticket. Versus waiting on line for walk-up entry.  Which no one does anymore.

If you have an advance ticket, it is “skip the line.” There is no ticket that is more “skip the line” than others.  They are all the same. Don’t fall for tricks designed to instill fear. Going with a private guide is the fastest way in because you don’t need to wait for a group members to show up. You meet your guide and you go.  Easy peasy.

Tour prices vary depending on group size, length of tour, and museum fees.

Tours can be private (just you and your family!) and customized for the client, or shared with a few others for a cost-savings benefit. But as of the moment, the majority are private tours.

Time is money -

A tour guide can save you endless amounts of time, and enhance your trip ten-fold.  Not only for precious information (no need to drag a book and map around or keep looking at your phone!) about what you are seeing, its significance and how it is connected to everything else, but also logistics - the best parts of town to stay in, the most efficient way to get from point A to B, the tricks to avoid the lines, closing dates and times, how to find public bathrooms, avoiding taxi scams, etc.

There are so many things to think about when you travel, especially in a country where you

don’t speak the language - let me help you.  :-)

In large group tours you are herded around with no connection to your guide, no chance to ask

those sometimes embarrassing questions, and can’t even be sure if the recited information is

correct.  Also I often hear laments about guides whose English is difficult to understand.

I don’t do any advertising.  All of my clients find me by word of mouth and become my extended family.   My rates are excellent because bigger tour companies add their overhead fees on top of the guides’ rates.  I also have a bevy of guides who work with me in Rome and also other towns.

We prefer to meet my clients at mutually agreed upon start points, to maximize their time and money.  That said, if you don’t have a cell phone as backup, of course we can pick you up from the hotel (or in the case of the further flung hotels, at their shuttle drop-off spot).  Note: 98% of Rome tour guides do not have cars, so “pick up” means we arrive to your hotel by bus, and then we take taxi, metro, bus or walk together from there.
